Historic Downtown Cheney

                                                                WILLIAMS LAKE

The beautiful 320 acre Williams Lake is the perfect place for all water enthusiasts. The lake is large enough to support jet skis, mid-draft boats, sail boats, tubing, and water skiing.


Klinks Williams Lake Resort, located on the west end of the lake, offers RV and tent camping, cabin rentals, boat rentals, a small shop, a restaurant, and a long sandy beach. The lake is stocked with rainbow, cutthroat, tripliods, and a kamloops/steelhead hybrid found only in Williams.

Boat rental: $11/ half day (no motor)
Boat rental: $35/whole day (with motor)


Located 11.5 miles southwest of Cheney. Take Mullinex Road south to Williams Lake Road, then east 1 mile to a Public Fishing sign.

 

 

 

FISH LAKE

Located 5 miles outside of Cheney, Fish Lake offers a roped off swimming area, boat launch (non-motorized boats), hiking trails, a basketball adn volleyball court, a small dock, a picinic area, restrooms, and a play ground.

 

The Fish Lake Park provides restrooms and parking access to the Fish Lake Trail, a 16-mile trail that runs from Cheney to Spokane.

 Rates:
Day pass: $2 (June-Labor Day)

 The lake is stocked with rainbow trout, cutthroat, and tripliods.

 

Located 2.56 miles outside of Cheney. Take the Cheney-Spokane Road south to S. Myers Park Road.

 

 

 

 

BADGER LAKE

Badger lake, located 12 miles outside of Cheney offers a two-lane boat launch, a wheelchair accessible fishing dock, and public restrooms.

 

There are no overnight facilities available.

 

Take Cheney-Plaza Road south to Williams Lake Road, go west on Williams Lake Road to Badger Lake Road, then 1.5 miles to a Public Fishing sign.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CHAPMAN LAKE

Chapman Lake, the deepest in Spokane County at 160', boasts bountiful fishing and wildlife.


The lake has a 5 mph speed limit and no diving or swimming is allowed. RV parking is available as well as cabins and fishing boats for rent.

On W. 1st Street, take S. Rock Road. Take a left of S. Cheney-Plaza Road, and a left on Chapman Lake Resort Road.
